Liz

Liz has her mum to thank for her love of sports. From a young age, her mum (a national sportswoman herself) encouraged Liz to try different types of sports and so a natural affinity for being active and to stay fit began.

She started pole and practising yoga since 2009. Pole cemented her love for the art of aerial and since then, has been enjoying dance with different aerial apparatus. She loves the thrills of inversions, flips, drops and spinning. Yoga was a natural complement to stretch, enhance flexibility and find mindfulness. When Liz found out about aerial yoga at Hale, she enjoyed the ingenious and fun combinations of a new way to stretch and build a strong core through the progressive exercises and yoga poses in the classes. She hasn’t looked back since. If she is not in Aerial Yoga, she is either at yoga or on one (or two) of the other aerial apparatus upgrading her practice!

As an advance practitioner, Liz understands the challenges of starting from ground zero in strength, grace, flexibility, & confidence. She gets the ultimate satisfaction in seeing these improve and progress over time, not only in herself but also in others. She believes in celebrating the small wins, and it gives her great satisfaction to see students’ face light up when they overcome self-doubt or nail a seemingly impossible sequence.
